I have so much to thank Anne for. Not only for teaching me but he general me
Anne Williams-King was born and educated in North Wales prior to studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. Even before leaving her home town of Wrexham for her music studies the 17 year old had already leapt to prominence at the Welsh National Eisteddfod as winner of both the Soprano Prize and the David Lloyd Memorial Prize. She was also a prize winner in The Belgian Bel Canto Competition, and was awarded the prestigious Peter Styvesant Scholarship to the London Opera Studio. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music under Frederick Cox and later Josephine Veasey.
Do you want to develop your singing potential? Do you want to discover your true voice? I have had many years experience performing lead operatic roles internationally. I had my initial vocal training with the legendary Frederick Cox in the golden years of RNCN (Royal Northern College of Music). Then later on studied with the amazing mezzo - Joe Veasey and am now passing on what I have learnt through my experiences of the years from all the talented and inspiring people I have had the privilege to work with. I am professor of voice at Bangor University, founder and director of North Wales Opera Studio and am proud to say that the studio is the first of its kind to be highly successful in North Wales and some of our students are already on the first rungs of the ladder to having exciting, significant operatic careers.
Whether you have just started singing or have been singing for many years, our educational projects will challenge you and bring your artistry to the next level by giving you quality and interesting performing platforms scattered throughout North Wales and beyond.
